Illustrious Colding became the Acting Most Puissant Sovereign Grand Commander due to the curious disappearance of his predecessor Most Puissant Sovereign Grand Commander David C. Gray 33°. He spent most of his time forming committees to pursue Illustrious Gray and the property of the Council, to no avail; to investigate territorial disputes; and to establish the Council's jurisdiction. It is rumored that he was a founder of St. Augustine Episcopal Church in Camden. Ironically his behavior was called into question after the expiration of his term.
